You Can Have It All, But Not All at the Same Time, Part 1 (Summer Break)

Sharon Braxton

Most women wear many “hats” and often have to wear several of them at the same time. Thank God He created women to be great “multi-taskers” and Sharon Braxton has definitely mastered that art. Versatility is her “middle name.” Sharon is a wife, mother, attorney, broadcast journalist, talk-show host, motivational speaker, and part of the management team for her husband, national recording artist and jazz saxophonist, Tom Braxton.

In a candid interview as host of Makeup Lessons for Life, Sharon shares her personal story of how God helped her to navigate the various “seasons of her life” while maintaining balance and her deep commitment to her family and her faith. Sharon shares openly the challenges, victories and lessons learned during each season from bullying experiences during childhood, to her reign as Miss Grambling State University, to graduating college, law school, and passing the bar exam, to her “divine appointment” in Austin, Texas which led to God opening doors for her to work for the Legislature, the Texas Supreme Court, and meet her future husband. Through it all and no matter what the season, Sharon’s story shows that God’s “grace” is truly sufficient, and if we trust and obey Him in “all things,” we will fulfill the destiny He has in store for us.
